Paris Perigrinations

Last weekend R took me to Paris. It was my first visit to the city. A wonderful time, apart from a slight mishap when we arrived on the Saturday, spraining my right ankle.

We walked for miles on the Sunday and chose le Musée l’Orangerie as the gallery to spend time in, mainly because of the Rousseau’s and the Monet Waterlilies. We were awed by the two artists but also by Soutine, who we both really liked.

The trip on the Eurostar was also a first for me and exciting. What a lucky person I am!

Patient Leadership Programme

I am attending a three day course to support the creation of NHS Patient Leaders. Just contributed to my BLOG on the course website (sorry if the site is closed to you – it may only be available to course participants).  I am learning lots about the NHS and what people do (on a voluntary basis) to make a difference to patient experiences.  My intention is to use this to become better equipped to support the NHS to be more patient-centered.

Block Block

My first session at BSK today – doing a block of the month. Picture below. The idea is to have twelve different blocks by the end of the year and put them together to make a quilt. Unfortunately I missed January so will have to catch up! Already looking forward to March.
